Job hunt takes a break….
The job search after college can be frustrating. You apply..apply…apply and then apply some more and it seems everyone wants 5+ years of experience, which you don’t have if you can’t get the job in the first place. I have recently applied to every posting I can find with few results so I am now taking a much needed break….to do a little personal PR for my new number one little girl.
She took an incredible amount of work, but she is here at last! Lorelei arrived on September 6th, 2007 at 6:36 AM after what felt like days of labor but what was really only 15 hours of induced labor.
She is tiny at only 6lbs 3oz and 19 inches long. She has wavy brown hair and dark blue eyes, a real beauty, but I may be a little biased. Her older brothers adore her and are already super protective. I fear she will really be quite the little princess. She looks great in pink and blue, and just about any color we put on her so she will never have to worry about having nothing to wear!
She is the year of the Boar according the the Chinese calendar, indicating she is intelligent and quiet, a deep thinker. She rarely cries and seems to size all of us up frequently with big solemn eyes, so there may really be something to that bit of Chinese mythology. I can’t wait to find out.
She has inspired me (as all of my children have done) to work harder to make the world a better place. I am already a big proponent of the reduce, reuse, recycle mantra but now I am executing it with even more vigor. I really hope to find a great PR job that will allow me to continue being the “green” advocate that I aspire to be.
That’s all for now, but stay tuned….
